Charms Baltis & Ben Neich are the creative duo behind Australian jewellery label Afterglow. Their designs are entirely handmade by old world artisans. Charms has been designing and making jewellery for seven years, initially working under Victoria Buckley in the Strand Arcade in Sydney before heading out on her own, compelled to start her first label Charmaine Baltis Jewellery, that combined both fine jewellery construction with the freedom of fashion jewellery.

The couple’s vision is to design statement jewellery that contradicts traditional jewellery ideals. By combining feminine intricacy with masculine simplicity and amalgamating the couple’s passion for architecture, fashion, design, music, and film, they have managed to turn youthful inspiration into grown up statement pieces.

Afterglow took out the Debut Accessory Designer award at 2010 Fashion Exposed and has recently participated as one of 20 leading emerging Australian label’s at Fashion Palette runway show, Circular Quay Sydney. Their pieces have been seen in films with Harrison Ford, Kevin Bacon and Garett Hedlund and worn by celebrities such as Erin Wasson and Jess Mauboy.

Afterglow is stocked in their own store in Milton NSW, online and in exclusive boutiques and galleries throughout Australia.
